Owner Dianne L'Altrella has been in the construction industry since 2006, as well as working as a licensed real estate agent. In her years selling houses, Dianne saw too many homeowners struggling to sell their homes due to having asbestos or mold issues.

Many houses built before the late 1980s were built using asbestos-containing materials. If the asbestos is left untouched it poses no health risks to the home's inhabitants. However, when the asbestos is friable, meaning when it is disturbed, its fibers break apart easily and become airborne. These airborne fibers are extremely dangerous to anyone in the home and can cause a host of illnesses including a rare lung cancer called mesothelioma.

The same is true with mold. Once the mold spores become airborne, the mold is no longer just affecting the integrity of your structure but can also be harmful to the health of your inhabitants.
